 Terms & Conditions

Hi there! Thanks for choosing Bonnie 77 to be part of your special day. We’ve put together some simple terms so everyone’s clear on how things work. By booking with us, you’re agreeing to the following:

1.Booking & Payment

  • A 20% deposit is required for all bookings to secure your date. This deposit is non-refundable and confirms your booking.

  • The full balance is due 14 days before your event.

  • We accept payment via bank transfer or PayPal.

2. Cancellations

We understand that plans can change, so here’s how cancellations work:

  • Cancel more than 30 days out - we’ll refund everything except your deposit.

  • Cancel within 30 days - unfortunately, the full fee is non-refundable.

  • If we ever need to cancel due to mechanical issues or something completely out of our hands (like severe weather), we’ll give you a full refund, but we won’t be responsible for any other costs.​

3. The Ride

  • Bonnie always comes with a driver – no self-driving allowed.

  • Remember, Bonnie is a classic 1977 Kombi - there is no air-conditioning, just the fresh air.

  • Hire time and travel destinations will be confirmed in your booking. Hire time starts from the time we arrive at your first pick-up point. If you need extra time or travel outside of our usual area, let us know – there may be an additional fee.

  • Please make sure there's a safe and legal parking spot available for Bonnie at all your locations. If a permit is required to access parks or public areas, it is your responsibility to obtain these before the event.

4. Timing & Delays

  • Please keep in mind the slower speed of a vintage Kombi when planning the time required for your event transportation. 

  • We understand that events can run overtime, and we are more than happy to help out if we can!  Additional time will incur an additional cost as outlined in your booking.

  • We’ll do our very best to be right on time! But sometimes traffic or roadworks get in the way. Please allow a little buffer time just in case. We can’t be held responsible for delays due to things outside our control.

  • Bonnie has regular servicing and is maintained to a high standard, however, given the age of this beauty, if she does break down, we will source a replacement vehicle to assist in the completion of your hire eg a taxi or Uber. 

5. Good Vibes Only (Behaviour & Responsibility)

  • As a booked hire service licence holder, we are not able to sell or supply alcohol to our passengers. 

  • No smoking, vaping, or illegal stuff in or around the Kombi – Bonnie’s a clean queen.

  • You're welcome to bring drinks or snacks, but please check with us first – some things are best kept outside the Kombi.

  • Please treat her kindly. If there's any damage or extra cleaning needed because of spills or mess, we may need to charge a fee.

6. Photos & Socials

  • We love sharing the Kombi magic on our socials and website!

  • We may take photos of Bonnie on the day for promotional use, but we’ll never share personal details without your OK.

  • If you'd prefer your event isn’t featured, just let us know before the event – no worries at all.

  • We would love to collaborate with your professional photographer or videographer to share their work too, with full credits given, of course!

7. Safety & Insurance

  • We’re fully insured and licensed for passenger transport. That said, we can’t take responsibility for:

  • Delays caused by road conditions or weather,

  • Lost or damaged personal items,

  • Any injuries that happen due to misuse or unsafe behaviour around the vehicle.

  • If you’re planning a big event, travel insurance is always a good idea – just in case.

8. Unforeseen Circumstances (Force Majeure)

  • Sometimes things happen that nobody can predict – natural disasters, road closures, or unexpected issues with the vehicle. If that ever happens, we’ll do our best to help, but we may need to cancel or reschedule. In these rare cases, a full refund will be provided.

9. Queensland Laws Apply

  • These terms follow the laws of Queensland, Australia, and any disputes would need to go through Queensland courts.

10. Final Word

  • By confirming your booking, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you have any questions, we’re always happy to chat and clarify anything before the big day.
